James Allen has been working as a sole trader since 2010 running a small family run business based in Milsom St. Bath and working mostly in Bath and the surrounding areas.

After many years working for other Bath restoration companies and bigger projects (like the Combe Down mine stabilisation project) the decision was made to start a business catering for the restoration of sash windows in Bath.

 

"I was brought up in Bath and remember just how draughty and cold sash windows can be - the draught proofing system we use is, in my mind, the best on the market, using as many top quality traditional style wooden parting beads, stop beads, waxed cords etc. as possible.
I've studied in stone masonry and wood and have been very lucky to have restored windows on some of the most beautiful buildings in Bath (Brock St, The Circus and Pulteney St. etc)
I take personal pride in the work on the windows as I do most of the work myself."
